Eupraxia Training

Immigration plays a vital role in Canada’s economic and social development. Settlement service providers help newcomers to address basic needs, make vital connections to community services and organizations, and navigate unfamiliar systems. They also provide opportunities for newcomers to learn about their new home, improve language skills, and expand circles of friendship and support. At the same time, they help mainstream organizations and communities become more welcoming and responsive.

You can find information about the settlement sector in the Prairie and Northern Territories through the organizations above.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

This program is funded by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).  IRCC funds Service Provider Organizations across Canada to help their clients increase knowledge of life in Canada, improve official language skills, increase participation in communities and social networks, and acquire the knowledge, skills, and connections to prepare for the Canadian labour market. As well, IRCC helps its partners deliver responsive and coordinated settlement and community services so that communities foster a welcoming environment for newcomers.
